Louis Riddick is a former safety in the National Football League and the former Director of Pro Personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now an analyst for ESPN, and yesterday, he had this to say about first round pick Calvin Pryor:
I'm told that based on what he's done to THIS point in off-season, #Jets SAF Calvin Pryor has been "special". Pads should confirm in camp.

This is obviously exciting news, but it should be taken with a grain of salt. We often hear about players doing well during the offseason, only to flounder once the real games start. David Clowney and Clyde Gates come to mind.
That said, this reinforces what Rex Ryan has said about Pryor being exceptionally smart and John Clayton stating that Pryor could possibly be making the defensive calls. Let's hope that Pryor truly is the special player he seems to be.
