Ian Rapoport has a rumor involving the Jets and Thursday's first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
2 teams pondering trading up for a WR: #49ers & #Jets. Beckham, Cooks, Lee possible targets. For SF, move into teens more likely than Top 5.

Let's start out by saying this is a rumor. At this point of the process, I'm inclined to believe reports like this are false information planted by the team unless it is reported by numerous sources.
With that out of the way, I'm not sure how much I would love this idea. It depends on the price. I'm just not sure there is a big enough difference in the top receivers to make this move. I don't see any Calvin Johnson/Dez Bryant/Demaryius Thomas types. I see a bunch of receivers from Sammy Watkins on down who are at the next level down. Of course this could change depending on whether there is an early run at the position or some team offers the Jets the chance to move up below market rate. Then again, if there is an early run at wide receiver, it means the cream of the crop might drop at other spots of need such as offensive line and cornerback.
