Rex said there's no timetable for Willie Colon's return. "It's safe to say it's going to be awhile." #jets

Colon has been one of the most injury-prone players in the league over the past four years. There really was no way the Jets could to make it through sixteen games at a position as physically demanding as guard. He was coming off a serious injury as it was.
For better or worse, the Jets did not increase their depth on the offensive line by adding proven veteran talent. They opted to put a ton of faith in unproven youngsters. We don't know whether this was smart or not. Frankly the Jets can't say for sure one way or another at this point. We are likely going to find out in a big way at some point during the season, perhaps sooner than later.
