As you can see, the New York Jets sorta drafted DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, the two premier players for Marty Mornhinweg when he was the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. Actually, Jackson was drafted in the second round and Maclin in the first, whereas Jalen Saunders and Shaq Evans were taken in the fourth, so we actually got similar-type players at a discount. Many wanted Jackson this offseason as a free agent, and now they (sorta) got him.
Obviously, that's high billing and can give unreasonable expectations for a pair of fourth rounders, but it will be interesting to see if Saunders and Evans are used by Mornhinweg in a similar manner. Combined with Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley, and Jace Amaro, and the Jets have the potential to put on an offensive showcase.
