With the 209th pick and second of four six round selections, the Jets took Quincy Enunwa, a wide receiver from Nebraska.
Enunwa posted 53 catches, 753 yards, and 12 touchdowns in Nebraska's run heavy offense this past year. He's a big 6'2" 225 pound target. His 40 time at the Combine was in the mid 4.4's. He certainly has the measurables to play receiver in the NFL. One of the big questions is how ready he is to play in the NFL. Was he just held down by the offensive system he played in?
Having taken three wide receivers today, the competition to make the Jets roster at wide receiver will be fierce. Eric Decker and Jeremy Kerley look like the only absolute locks. The rest of the crew including today's trio, Stephen Hill, David Nelson, and others will have to show their value in preseason.
Enunwa might at least have a soft landing spot on the practice squad if he fails to make the team.
