The Jets have used their third and final fourth round selection on Furman offensive lineman Dakota Dozier.
I personally am a fan of this pick. Dozier profiles as a mauler in the run game. He was a tackle at Furman, but might need to slide inside to guard in the NFL due to size and athleticism. He also might be a year or two away from contributing. Small school prospects are frequently able to dominate inferior competition to the point where they don't need to use proper technique and fall into bad habits. The skills are there for him to develop into a really nice player, however, with the proper refinement. If he's a quick learner, maybe he can even push Brian Winters.
A trend also seems to be emerging. John Idzik seems like he wants to use the middle rounds to find interior linemen. He took three guards between the third and sixth rounds last year. Now once again he goes in that direction.
