LeSean McCoy: Vick Will Start for Jets

A former teammate of Michael Vick thinks he will win the Jets' starting quarterback job over Geno Smith.

At this point I think Vick is probably more likely to start for the Jets. Geno Smith had his moments last year, but he probably would have ended the season on the bench if the Jets had a real alternative.

Some people say the competition will be good for Geno. That might be, but I think it will be better for the Jets. Vick is a credible quarterback. Geno needs to be credible in his second year if the Jets are going to continue with him as the starter. There were too many instances where he was not as a rookie. Vick allows the Jets to move in a different direction if Geno is not up to the task rather than continuing on.
