There are some reports from ProFootballTalk and others that the New York Jets might have interest in running back Chris Johnson if/when he is released from the Tennessee Titans this week (due to an unwieldy salary). As of yet, I haven't seen any reports that the team is actually interested in him, just that they might, could, or should be. With that, there have been reports the team was interested in Donald Brown, Ben Tate, and Maurice Jones-Drew, so they appear to be interested in adding a veteran running back that can catch the ball out of the backfield. Perhaps Mike Goodson's ACL recovery isn't going as planned?
If I had to guess, I'd predict Chris Johnson will end up with the Jets next season.

I've covered Johnson before and whether or not he'd be a good fit for the Jets, and I think the answer is yes. One of our readers, EdTavares, has done so as well. What do you think? Should the team explore the running back if/when he is released?
