Reports: Jets Haven't Reached Out to DeSean Jackson

Manish Mehta reports John Idzik did not touch base with DeSean Jackson after the receiver's release yesterday.

Adam Schefter confirms it.

I would be disappointed if the Jets did not at least explore this option. On the field, Jackson is exactly what this offense needs, a dynamic speedy game-breaker, a threat to score every time he touches the ball who could take attention off Eric Decker and help him thrive.

I do expect them to reach out to Jackson at some point, though. Woody Johnson himself said there was some kind of interest last week from the team's standpoint.
