Sanchez "failed physical" termination w Jets was protocol. Won't affect next step - signing with Eagles. He's on good recovery from surgery
— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) March 24, 2014
After being released Friday and essentially replaced by former Eagle Michael Vick, the now former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, multiple reports say. Originally reported by ESPN's Chris Mortensen, there is now wide belief that "The Sanchize" will be joining Nick Foles, Matt Barkley and coach Chip Kelly in Philadelphia.
While a deal is not done yet, there is interest from both sides here, and the Eagles are reportedly currently checking on Sanchez's medical status. It is believed that Sanchez will be ready for OTAs.
Here's what has been said via various reporters so far on the matter:

The #Eagles won't be alone in pursuit of Mark Sanchez, as others including the #Giants should be in the mix. Will be healthy for OTAs.

Sanchez has been throwing & is about "80 percent" recovered from his labrum surgery. Eagles will do their own medical eval before signing

Source said nothing done between Eagles and Sanchez yet, but there is mutual interest there. #nyj

#Eagles have definite interest in Mark Sanchez, per source. Have to check on medical condition now that Jets cut him.
