This week is the NFL league meetings, where compensatory picks will be announced, rule changes voted upon, etc. Woody Johnson met with reporters today, and had this to say:
Jets owner Woody Johnson was asked if Geno is the 1 and Vick is the 2: "I don't know. We gotta let it play out and see what happens."

Woody Johnson said he spoke to Roger Goodell and Eagles owner Jeff Lurie before signing Michael Vick.

Woody Johnson on Vick: "You want a veteran at that position. That's invaluable."

Woody on Sanchez: "We had two extremely exciting years with Mark, and appreciate what he did for us."

Woody confirms the Jets are looking to trade for DeSean Jackson. By name.

Woody Johnson says of a potential DeSean Jackson trade "we're always interested in talent." But insinuates trade not their best option.

Woody Johnson mention, of DeSean, interest "at the right price" and "if he fits into the culture of our locker room." Questions persist.

Woody: "I don't want to be patient. I want to do it [win] now."

Interesting language from Johnson on the quarterback competition, Sanchez, and Jackson. It's especially interesting that he named Jackson specifically, which he doesn't normally do. Combined with Eric Allen's confirmation of the team's interest, it's certainly noteworthy. What do you think?
