Eric Allen Confirms New York Jets Interest in DeSean Jackson

I know we've had a lot of DeSean Jackson threads, but as it's a potentially huge story, I think they're all worthwhile. We heard from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the New York Jets had inquired into his status with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, now we have an even better source, the team itself. Eric Allen, who works for the Jets, confirmed on NFL Network today that the team has inquired into Jackson, is interested in trading for Jackson, and is seeking to make it happen.

That, of course, is not confirmation that the deal is guaranteed to happen. But it's a fairly unusual situation that the team itself would confirm their interest in such a manner, which is why it's noteworthy.
