One aspect that I liked about not over-paying for someone like DRC is that when trades come up (and they nearly always do) we have the flexibility to make them work. When a game-change and game-breaker like DeSean Jackson is mentioned, I'm delighted to hear that the Jets have enquired about the trade with a phone call:
#Jets host Michael Vick Friday & worth noting they are among teams who have inquired about DeSean Jackson via trade. Vick & DeSean are close

Now that is some good news. I know it's going to take a lot of money but with the cap space we have, I can't help but get excited about the thought of Decker, Jackson and Kerley leading our offence this season.
1332 yards, 9 touchdowns, 82 receptions and 489 yards after the catch. When you put him in Marty's system with two reliable targets like Decker and Kerley to take away some of the burden and create space for him. Watch out.
We'll keep you posted on how this develops. However I must stress, that any trade and future financial commitments need to work for the Jets, if he's asking for the World, Idzik is right not to give it to him.
