There is a report out that John Idzik was visiting Texas Tech today to see their Pro Day, starring potential first round tight end Jace Amaro. Earlier, we spoke about a scheduling conflict that forced the rescheduling of WR Emmanuel Sanders' visit to the New York Jets. This would appear to be the conflict. The team thought it was important enough that Idzik himself go see Amaro, so they weren't able to bring Sanders in while the General Manager was out of town.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is scheduled to fly in tonight, so presumably Idzik is on his way home.
As for Amaro, he is one of the top tight ends in the draft, along with Eric Ebron. Amaro has garnered comparisons to Jimmy Graham in terms of playing style, and I for one would be happy to see him wearing Green and White next year. What are your thoughts?
