Kristian Dyer reports the Arizona Cardinals have made an offer to free agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie, and the Jets are not prepared to offer Cro that much to return.
Hearing from a team source that right now, Jets won't try to match current offer from Cardinals for Cromartie. #nyjets

It will be interesting to see where the Jets go from here. Cutting Cromartie created a hole at starting cornerback. The options are narrowing, but they still do exist.
I think cutting Cromartie was probably the right move based on his rough 2013, his huge salary, and the cap savings attained. The Jets do need to find a plan to replace him. The team could move Kyle Wilson back outside as a fallback plan. Wilson played credibly outside in 2012. The Jets' pass defense probably could not have performed as well as it did had Wilson been half as bad as people made him out to be.
