Julius Peppers, the defensive end for the Chicago Bears, has been cut today. Peppers is an eight-time Pro Bowler that is 34 years old. With the news of DeMarcus Ware, this has become an interesting free agent market on the pass rushing side. You can read more about his play and status here.
As far as a target of the New York Jets, Peppers is interesting, because he is a physical freak that can do it all. With Rex Ryan, he could be dynamite. However, he is aging quickly and the team also has strong defensive line already. I would probably avoid signing him and focus instead on Ware, but some of you may disagree. What do you think? Should the Jets make a play at Peppers?
