Multiple Jets reporters have confirmed that Austin Howard will take a visit to Oakland
It is believed that the Jets are still in the running for Howard, but he will test free agency and discover his market value before signing on. Howard was perhaps the Jets most important in-house free agency, however it is also believed that several teams reached out to his agent over the three day negotiating period.
I don't blame Howard for wanting to test his market worth. He was rated as the 23rd best offensive tackle in the league by PFF last season and only allowed two sacks all season. He's deserves to get his pay-day and I'm sure he will get it from someone.
As mentioned earlier, the Jets are still in the running for Howard but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Oakland overpay.
