Darrelle Revis and Rex Ryan: A True American Love Story

NOW KISS.
NOW KISS.
The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

According to Manish Mehta and Kimberley Martin, Darrelle Revis would "LOVE" to reunite with Rex Ryan and play for his former team. Brian Costello says Revis never wanted to leave and wants to come back. Of course, this isn't a surprise; Revis became famous under Ryan, and New York City has a lot more marketing opportunities than Tampa Bay.

That said, none of this matters if the New York Jets aren't willing to pony up the dough. Simply put; it isn't happening unless they throw serious coin at Revis, and it doesn't matter how much he "loves" Ryan. Revis is many things, but he is a businessman first and foremost. He will not do a deal unless he is making bank. Period. With Woody Johnson still the owner, who knows if he's now willing to give money to Revis. But with the likes of Vontae Davis making $9.5M per year, it's going to take a lot to get Revis. It's possible, but not likely.
