The New York Jets are reportedly seriously interested in QB Michael Vick and working on signing a deal. This move, if it goes through, is sure to generate a lot of outrage, but there are a few things to remember. The first is that Vick will most likely be the backup to Geno Smith. As a result, his health and ability to stay healthy through sixteen games isn't as important. Secondly, people are likely to be upset due to Vick's criminal past.
For me, this is a non-issue because he paid his debt to society through his prison term and financial reparations. What's in the past is in the past, but I can understand that some people will never forgive him for this. You're welcome to note your objections, but if this thread becomes a long argument over dog rights, I will shut it down.
We will update this post with more information as we receive it.
EDIT 1:
Mike Vick has told former Eagles teammates he thinks his most likely destination are the NY Jets.
