There are reports that the Dallas Cowboys have asked DeMarcus Ware to take a paycut, and he has refused. This will, apparently, lead to his release. He was set to make $16 million this year, which for a team on the salary cap border, was just too much.
Report: #Cowboys de marcus Ware refuses to take pay cut and will be released by dallas. Actually smart decision by Cowboys

Ware is a pass rushing monster, but he notably is able to play as a 3-4 outside linebacker. The New York Jets have struggled with the outside linebacker position for years, and have especially sought a pass rusher, or "bitch kitty," as Rex Ryan has termed it before. Considering the team will have over of $40 million in cap space, it seems natural to me that they should pursue Ware. Lined opposite of Quinton Coples, and between the New York Snack Exchange, there will not be a more fearsome front in all of football. In 2011, under defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, Ware accumulated 19.5 sacks.
What do you think? Would you pursue Ware? If so, how much would you be willing to spend? Me personally, I'd break the bank and make Ware my priority defensive free agent.
