NFL Salary Cap Going Even Higher Than Expected?

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Recent reports about the NFL salary cap going up to $130 million were surprising because the cap was not expected to go that high. It looks like it could go even higher.

Obviously, more cap space for the Jets would not be terrible, but this news helps the teams with less space more. The Jets were going to have a lot to spend either way. The teams up against the cap can use this to keep a player or two who might have been a cap casualty and get into the bidding for other free agents.

I really do not think this will have a major impact on the Jets. It has its positives and negatives. It would probably be a tad better if the cap was lower, though.
