SB Nation's new NFL mock draft has the Jets grabbing USC wide receiver Marqise Lee.
18. New York Jets - Marqise Lee, WR, USC - The Jets need playmakers for Geno Smith. While Lee didn't have the best performance at the combine, his on-field play can't be denied.
Lee might need a strong performance at his Pro Day to go this high after a disappointing Combine. He is a smallish receiver whose game is to a large extent based on speed, but he timed in the 4.5 range.
I'm still a Lee fan and would not be upset at all if the Jets grabbed him. The Combine matters, but it isn't the end all. The Jets certainly do an upgrade at receiver, and I think they could do a lot worse than Marqise Lee. Actually, on second thought, we have seen them do a lot worse.
