Bart Scott Joining The NFL Today

New, comments
Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

CBS Sports has announced former Jets linebacker Bart Scott will become part of The NFL Today pregame show. Scott and former Chiefs and Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez will replace Shannon Sharpe and Dan Marino. James Brown, former Steelers coach Bill Cowher, and former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason are the other members of the pregame show.

Last season, Scott was a studio analyst on CBS Sports Network’s weekly Sunday pre-game show THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW. In addition to THE NFL TODAY, he will provide analysis across multiple platforms, contributing to INSIDE THE NFL on SHOWTIME and appearing in weekly segments on TOPS.

These things are very subjective, but I like the addition of Bart. I think he is very intelligent and has an engaging personality. These things do not always translate to television, but I enjoyed his work on CBS from what I saw this past season. Having some Jets love on the pregame show can't hurt.
