George Paton was on the Jets short list for GM. I'm told consultant Charley Casserly was extremely high on him. #nyj

My understanding is George Paton has decided to remain with Vikings as assistant GM. He has told people that he's happy with team's track

It isn't easy to say how good these candidates are, but I'm not sure I heard much of a rationale for Patton's candidacy outside of Casserly liking him and other teams showing interest in him. The search goes on without Minnesota's assistant general manager part of the mix.
