Rod Graves Is Jets Interim GM

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Although John Idzik has been fired, there is a lot of work that needs to be done. The Jets have begun signing players to futures contracts. The football operations staff has to continue preparing for free agency and the Draft. With that in mind, Rod Graves, Senior Director of Football Operations, will be running the team on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is hired.

Rod Graves, the Jets' senior director of football administration, will oversee the team's football operations on an interim basis until Jets owner Woody Johnson hires a general manager.Graves, who has more than 30 years of professional football experience, joined the Jets in 2013 after 16 years with Arizona, including four seasons as the Cardinals' vice president of football operations and six seasons as their GM. Graves is scheduled to interview for the team's general manager position

For whatever it's worth, Terry Bradway ran operations along with Scott Cohen two years ago after Mike Tannenbaum's firing. He isn't part of the mix this time. Take that how you will.
