Manish Mehta reports the Jets are looking to the Eagles organization for a potential general manager.
Jets have requested permission to talk to Eagles director of pro personnel Rick Mueller for their GM job, per sources. #nyj

Mueller was promoted to his current job last June. He joined the Eagles in 2012. Before then he had stints working as an executive for the United Football League (perhaps giving him knowledge of some under the radar players?), the Saints, and the Jaguars. He started his football career working for teams in the World Leage of American Football and the Canadian Football League.
So far we know the Jets have expressed interest in Mueller, Baltimore's Eric DeCosta, Houston's Mike Maccagnan, Seattle's Trent Kirchner, and Minnesota's George Paton. There have been rumblings about other potential candidates so there is a real possibility the list will expand further in the days to come.
