New York Jets to Make Serious Push for Eric DeCosta

Eric DeCosta is the general manager in waiting for the Baltimore Ravens, and for years has been in line to succeed Ozzie Newsome. Every year, he is arguably the most coveted candidate, and every year, he rejects every team's overtures. Two years ago, he wouldn't even interview with the New York Jets. However, that hasn't stopped the team.

I'm not going to get my hopes up, but this is a swing for the fences. If Woody Johnson is willing to open up the purse strings and hand over full control to DeCosta, it's possible, but still unlikely. This would certainly be a move that would lend significant credibility to the team, and would be almost impossible for the media to criticize. Don't get your hopes up, but this would be awesome.
