Bengals vs. Broncos Open Thread

Two AFC division leaders square off in Cincinnati.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

Monday Night Football, week 16. As the season winds down the games get more interesting. Tonight we have a matchup between the NFC North division leaders Cincinnati Bengals and the AFC West Champions Denver Broncos at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Denver comes into the game on a four game winning streak, already having clinched the AFC West title and playing only for seeding in the playoffs. Led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and newly installed star running back C.J. Anderson, the Broncos are seen as co-favorites with the Patriots to be the AFC representatives in the Super Bowl in February, 2015. The one vulnerability the Broncos have shown this year has been on the road, where they have a less than awe inspiring 4-3 record. The Bengals come into the game clinging by a thread to the AFC North division lead at 9-4-1. Quarterback Andy Dalton has had a poor year in Cincinnati and the team many thought would challenge for a Super Bowl berth has suffered for it. Now they are just trying to fend off challenges from the Ravens and Steelers for the AFC North title and a first round home game. The Bengals are a deep and talented team that always seems to perform at a level less than their talent justifies. Enjoy the game everybody. Discuss the game here.
