Where Each Team Is
The Tennessee Titans and New York Jets are in a race to the bottom, both sitting at 2-11 and fighting for little outside of position in next years draft. The losing team will likely be among the first to select in the 2015 NFL draft. The winning team may very well fall out of top 5 draft pick contention. If there was ever a game for you to root for your team to lose, this is probably it.

Rankings
Jets: On offense the Jets are 30th in points scored, 25th in overall yards, 32nd in passing yards and 2nd in rushing. The Jets rushing record keeps going up but it matters not in a passing league, and the Jets have hands down the worst passing offense in the league.
On defense the Jets are at 27th in points allowed, 7th in overall yards allowed, 15th in passing defense, and 5th in rushing defense. Yay.
Titans: On offense the Titans are beyond terrible. 29th in points scored, 30th in overall yards, 22nd in passing yards; and 27th in rushing yards. In case you thought offenses don't come any worse than the 2014 New York Jets, look no further. The Titans are the worst of the worst from top to bottom. The Jets at least do a couple of things well on the ground.
On defense the Titans rank 31st in points allowed, 30th in yards allowed, 19th against the pass, and 32nd against the run. The Titans are so incredibly bad at defending the run (and pretty much everything else, for that matter), the Jets might not even need Geno Smith to make any pass attempts.
AP Pro Ranking has the Jets at 31st overall, and the Titans ranked 32nd. These are the two worst teams in football. You could almost call this the Mariota/Winston bowl.
Titans to Watch
Jake Locker will take the helm back for the Titans offense after Zach Mettenberger suffered a season ending shoulder injury last week. Using this season as a measure, Locker has virtually identical accuracy, although Mettenberger had a higher TD-INT ratio and a considerably higher QB rating. Locker will have to try and right the ship standing behind an already-underperforming line likely to be missing several players to injury on Sunday. The Jets defensive line will be looking to have a field day, even without Muhammad Wilkerson. Kendall Wright is questionable, and his absence could mean the difference in the game. Tight end Delanie Walker is the second leading receiver behind Wright and looks to make an impact.
Michael Griffin has 3 sacks and 2 interceptions, but he remains questionable for Sunday. Jason McCourty has generated 5 turnovers on the season. Jurrell Casey has registered 5 sacks. Wesley Woodyard has 1.5 sacks and 2 picks to his credit. The Titans have generated 31 sacks and 12 interceptions on the season to the Jets 33 sacks and 5 picks.
Bottom Line
Knowing this team, the Jets probably win it and knock themselves out of contention for a top draft pick. At this point in the season, the Jets third victory of the year would basically be a consolation prize. Given how inept both teams offenses are, a low-scoring affair is likely. But when it comes to the Titans or Jets, you never really know what you're gonna get. The Titans are so banged up and poor on offense that I expect them to find a way to lose.
