Sunday Night Football, week 10. It's the Packers vs. the Bears at legendary Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A storied rivalry between two NFL teams with the richest histories and traditions. Historically this was a smashmouth rivalry; tough, ugly, glorious, hard hitting football in the Black and Blue division. No more. In the modern NFL this rivalry has morphed into Passer's Delight, with Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers leading two of the more prolific and dangerous passing attacks in the NFL. These two teams have been battling for NFC North supremacy for years, and this is as intense a rivalry as exists in today's NFL. The Packers come into this contest at 5-3, a game behind the Detroit Lions in the race for the division title. The Bears come into this game in last place at 3-5 and struggling just to stay relevant. Aaron Rodgers is doing what Aaron Rodgers does, enjoying his usual Hall of Fame type year and currently sitting atop the NFL's passer rating standings. Jay Cutler is having perhaps the finest year of his career, on track for career highs in TDs, completion %, and passer rating. These days when these two teams get together you have a decent chance to see a classic shootout, with lots of fireworks in the passing game.
Enjoy the rivalry, enjoy the passing that Jets fans can only dream of, enjoy the game everyone. Discuss the game here. The normal rules apply. Do not ask for links to illegal broadcasts of games. Do not provide them either.
