This was just a really poor show from everyone. We didn't get any pressure, mainly because Alex Smith could just complete a pass in soft coverage whenever he wanted it. Antonio Allen was horrendous and was replaced by Josh Thomas. We got nothing from our outside linebackers and as John mentioned in his recap, our linebackers were poor in zone coverage.
Calvin Pryor continues to disappoint in his rookie season and Trevor Reilly has seen his snap count diminish thanks to the return of Antwan Barnes. We have a great defensive line to build around, but we may need 5-6 starts on this defense to get it back to a position we're happy with.
