Monday Night Football 2014, week 9. Tonight we have the Colts visiting the Giants in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Colts come into this game leading the AFC South with a 5-3 record and looking to retain sole possession of first place in the division. The Giants come into the game at 3-4, in third place in the NFC East and fighting for their playoff lives. A loss here would make the path to the playoffs extremely difficult for the Giants.
The Colts feature wunderkind Andrew Luck at quarterback, who replaced Peyton Manning in Indianapolis. Luck is an incredibly prolific passer, having passed for more than 300 yards in all but one game this year. He is currently on pace for nearly 5500 passing yards and 44 touchdowns, which would be one of the greatest seasons an NFL quarterback has ever had. Luck still turns the ball over too much, with 11 turnovers in 8 games this year, but with the way he makes plays and gets his team into the end zone, one can overlook the turnovers.
The Giants' quarterback, Eli Manning, brother of the man Luck replaced in Indianapolis, struggled early in transitioning to a west coast offense, but has since settled in. He is currently on pace for career highs in passer rating and completion percentage, while also limiting turnovers better than in any prior season. Enjoy the game, enjoy the quarterbacks, enjoy football under the lights. Discuss the game here. The normal rules apply. Do not ask for links to illegal broadcasts of games. Do not provide them either.
