Sunday Night Football, week 12. It's the Giants vs. the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants, led by two time Super bowl winning quarterback Eli Manning, come into the game at 3-7 and reeling under the weight of five consecutive losses, on their way to their 5th season in six years without a playoff berth. The Cowboys, led by much maligned but underrated quarterback Tony Romo and superstar running back DeMarco Murray, come into the game at 7-3, tied for first place in the NFC East and playing for a divisional championship and a first round bye in the playoffs. The Giants are playing for pride and possibly to save head coach Tom Coughlin's and/or general manager Jerry Reese's jobs (sound familiar Jets fans?). On paper this one looks like a mismatch, with the Giants struggling and on the verge of collapse and the Cowboys driving for a division championship. But this is a heated divisional rivalry, where records and stats sometimes are less important than blood rivalries and a chance to play spoiler. Enjoy the game everybody. Envy the quarterbacks. Dream of better times for the Jets. Discuss the game here.
