We did expect this, but the league has confirmed the game against Buffalo will not take place in Orchard Park due to the incredible amount of snow that has fallen on Western New York.
"Due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in Western New York, Sunday's Jets-Bills game will not be played in Buffalo," Signora said in a statement. "We are in the process of rescheduling and relocating the game as part of Week 12. We will provide additional information as soon as possible.
"We have been in contact with the public authorities and we realize the importance of all available public safety resources being available for the community at this difficult time. We are also in discussions with the team and the Red Cross on ways the NFL can support the community through this weather disaster."
This is 100% the right move, the authorities in Buffalo should be supporting people who are trapped, unable to get out for food or supplies and not focusing on a football game.
Apparently the game will either be played in Detroit or in Washington. Toronto has been ruled out for logistical purposes and Pittsburgh has also been ruled out due to several games taking place at Heinz Field over the weekend.
If I were a betting man, I would say the game is likely to be held in Detroit because it's the closer of the two possibilities, however I wouldn't be surprised to see it held on Monday instead of Sunday. Of course we will keep you posted as soon as we have more.
There's a stadium somewhere in there. #BuffaloSnow MORE PHOTOS: http://t.co/F4UmXaYVGR pic.twitter.com/6JVxzba2dW
