Jets vs. Chiefs Final Score: Jets Lose 24-10

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets lost their 8th straight game today to the Kansas City Chiefs. The loss dropped Gang Green to 1-8 in this season. Make it four straight years the Jets will not finish with a winning record.

Michael Vick's play was certainly a couple of steps ahead of Geno Smith, but the offense only put up 10 points. The offense needed 15 plays on one of those touchdown drives. It was also a rough game for the defense. The issues in the secondary that have plagued the Jets all year long appeared again today. The Jets tried out some new players, but it felt like the Chiefs had a completion whenever they wanted one. John Idzik still has not found answers there. A player he passed on to take Jalen Saunders with a similar style to Saunders also had a big return and a big gain on offense. We also saw more squandered timeouts in the second half.

It's pretty much same old, same old. It keeps becoming more and more difficult to see a valid argument for not cleaning house. Mourn below. The official recap will be up later.
