Some interesting information came out today about why Jaiquawn Jarrett might have gotten his chance to have such a big game yesterday.
No. 1 pick Calvin Pryor has been late for multiple mtgs this yr, per source. Probably explains why he was benched for Jarrett. #nyj

Following up on Calvin Pryor... I'm hearing he's also been late to weight room lifts/weight checks. #jets

Mo Wilkerson, at Taste of the Jets event, acknowledged Calvin Pryor missing a meeting. Wilkerson: "He's got to learn from that."

It has been a disappointing rookie season for Pryor. Perhaps the most important role of the safety position is serving as the last line of defense to prevent a touchdown. Time after time Pryor has been out of position where he could have saved a score on long opponent touchdowns. It's impossible to say how much these meetings have to do with his disappointing play, but the New York Jets are probably right to send a message with a benching.
