Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

For the first time since Week 1 we do not have to give out an anti-game ball. Since the Jets won, we can give out a game ball (or anti-anti-game ball if you prefer).

This week's winner is Jaiquawn Jarrett. The safety took advantage of his increased playing time by recording 10 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, and 2 interceptions. All season long the Jets have lacked playmaking capabilities on both sides of the ball. Whether Jarrett can continue to provide it is uncertain, but he came up big in a game where the Jets ended an eight game losing streak.

I'll also give the Jets some credit for sticking him in the lineup. It has meant reduced playing time for Calvin Pryor. It would be easy to stick with the first round pick simply because he's a first round pick. Instead they benched him for his subpar play. It's not a bad thing to make a young player earn his playing time and show his Draft position will not dictate his playing time.

Honorable mention goes to GGN's Sean C for leading the J-E-T-S chant yesterday.
