The Jets lost once again on Sunday. That means we have to give out another anti-game ball.
The easy choice would be to give one to the entire team. I won't do that, however.
The only game ball I have given out this year went to Antonio Allen Week 1 against the Raiders when he was barely tested. Opponents have started testing him since then, and he's been one of the least effective defensive backs in coverage in the NFL. Yesterday the return of Dee Milliner showed that fixing Allen's problems are not as simple as moving him back to a more familiar safety spot. He was burned twice for touchdowns by Antonio Gates.
In a very crowded field, Antonio Allen gets my anti-game ball. Who gets yours? You really cannot go wrong after a performance like the Jets provided yesterday in San Diego.
