Geno Smith to Start vs. Denver Broncos

Rex Ryan has named his starting quarterback for next week, and it is the quarterback he benched today at halftime, Geno Smith.

Not that Vick did much to claim the job today, but I don't think that's the right decision for two reasons.

1. You might as well see what Vick can do with a week of practice under his belt.

2. If you think there's a chance Geno might be salvaged (I'm not terribly optimistic myself), continuing to throw him out there in this mess of an offense is not going to do him any good. Even if it's just for a few weeks, he looks like he needs to sit. Just look at his body language on the field. He looks totally defeated out there right now.
