Roughly a year ago, Antwan Barnes tore his ACL. Now, the team is activating him off the reserve/PUP list, making him eligible for tomorrow's game against the New England Patriots. In his brief time with the team last year, Barnes had two sacks. Now, he will be counted on to add pressure to Tom Brady, in conjunction with Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, Quinton Coples, Jason Babin, Calvin Pace, and others. To make space for Barnes, Josh Bush was released from the team.
This seems like a solid move for the team. Bush wasn't doing much for the team, and was injured. Barnes will add another dimension to the pass rush, which will be incredibly important against Brady. It's absolutely critical that they put Brady on his back early and often. Barnes should be fresh and eager to provide those services.
EDIT:
We have released Josh Bush and activated Antwan Barnes from Reserve/PUP.

I'm told Antwan Barnes (just activated off PUP list) DID travel with #NYJ to Foxboro today.
