The 49ers roll into St. Louis prospecting for a victory. Will they Gore the Rams?

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Monday Night Football 2014, week 6. Tonight we have the San Francisco 49ers visiting the St. Louis Rams in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. The 49ers come into St. Louis fresh off two straight home wins, seeking to keep within striking distance of the division leading Seahawks and Cardinals. Led by a formidable defense and the ageless Frank Gore on offense, the 49ers are a dangerous team that just can't seem to get over the hump. Facing them at home are the St. Louis Rams. The Rams suffered the devastating blow of losing starting quarterback Sam Bradford before he'd taken a single snap in 2014. They are led by surprisingly effective rookie signal caller Austin Davis. The Rams come into the game reeling from two straight losses. At 1-3, the Rams are struggling just to remain on the fringes of relevancy in the tough NFC West. This one has the earmarks of a potential blowout, unless the Rams surprise with a stellar effort or the 49ers suffer a letdown against a seemingly inferior opponent. Enjoy the game, enjoy football under the lights. Discuss the game here.
