Florio saysthe Jets are concerned Brian Winters might have torn his ACL.
Per a league source, the Jets fear that starting right guard Brian Winters has suffered a torn ACL.
Like Dee Milliner, this would be an end to a really rough second season for Winters. He had not really shown the growth the Jets were hoping to see, and needing to rehab from a serious injury would make getting ready for year three all the more difficult.
This would represent a chance for Oday Aboushi to show what he can do. On the first look, he seemed to do a pretty good job when he entered the game for Winters. He might have an expanded audition going into the future. Aboushi got plenty of buzz during the offseason as a potentially improved player. As Geno Smith's 2014 has shown, those proclamations about offseason improvement do not always pan out, but he might at least get a shot.
