The Jets fell to 1-5 today, dropping a 31-17 decision to the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets were surprisingly competitive. They controlled the game for much of the first half. Then after falling behind 24-7 in the second half, they rallied and had a couple of chances to tie the game with a touchdown.
This is where we are at. We have to find moral victories when the Jets look competitive. Losing at home to drop to 1-5 doesn't seem so bad.
These are signs we are rooting for a really bad football team. Through the rest of the season there are going to be games like last week where the Jets get wiped out. There will be others where they show a little fight and lose close to fill folks with hope that maybe the team just isn't that far off. We probably won't have many happy Sundays, though.
Mourn below. The official recap will be up later.
