NFC Championship Game Open Thread

Otto Greule Jr

The first game was kind of a dud, a glorious, glorious dud. The Broncos spared the Jets the indignity of watching the Patriots play for the Lombardi Trophy on their home field. Now we are off to the NFC Championship Game.

It pits the Seahawks and 49ers, the defending NFC Champion against the conference's best team this year. There is plenty of bad blood. These coaches have hated each other since they coached against each other in what was then the Pac 10. This is the kind of rivalry we were hoping Jets-Patriots would turn into and still hope it will.

I've gone back and forth on my pick for this one. I have predicted a Broncos-49ers Super Bowl, but it is not difficult to imagine the Seahawks winning this game. I'm sticking with the Niners, though. It's about the quarterbacks. I like the way Colin Kaepernick is playing right now better than Russell Wilson.
