The second weekend of the NFL Playoffs is here. For my money, it is the best weekend of the season. The top eight teams in the NFL (sorry, Bengals) are in action and fighting for a spot in the Conference Championship Games next weekend.
We kick things off with the Saints going to Seattle looking to avenge a blowout loss earlier this year (not to mention a stunning Playoff upset three years ago) against the Seahawks.
I think this game will go one of two ways. The Seahawks might ride the home crowd, take control early, and win comfortably. They also might come out tight feeling the pressure of the being the favorite. The Saints will continue to ride their momentum from last week, play the big game in Seattle it feels like they are due, and shock the world.
I am going to go against my better judgment and trust Pete Carroll to have his guys ready. I don't feel comfortable with this pick. Nobody seems to be giving a really good Saints team a chance. I also never feel comfortable picking against the team I think is far better at both head coach and quarterback. I just keep looking at the matchups here. The Seahawks are very good at defending what the Saints do well on offense. The Saints are very bad at defending what the Seahawks do well on offense. I'm taking Seattle.
