Seth Walder reports Mark Sanchez is on his way to visit Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion on the shoulder he injured in the preseason.
Mark Sanchez will reportedly get a second opinion on his right shoulder this week from Dr. James Andrews.
If you are not familiar with Andrews, he is widely regarded as the best orthopedic surgeon for athletes in the country. It is usually a bad sign when an athlete goes to visit him.
The Jets have become very tight lipped about injuries in the Idzik Era, but reports have leaked out in the past day or two that Sanchez might be dealing with a partially torn labrum.
At this point the news might have less to do with the Jets and more about Sanchez's upcoming attempt to reinvent himself with a new team. Whether Geno Smith sinks or swims, it feels like the Jets have officially turned the page for good from Sanchez.
