On Week 1 of the NFL season, FOX has a doubleheader while CBS will show one game. Normally NFL rules state that when a local team plays at home, no other game can be shown in the same timeslot. Today is an exception. Even though the Jets play at home early on FOX, fans in the New York area will see a game on CBS at the same time. This is because CBS has no late games today as a result of tennis coverage.
If you live in the New York area, you will see:
Patriots at Bills early on CBS
Buccaneers at Jets early on FOX
Packers at 49ers late on FOX
You will also be able to see the Jets play if you live in a Florida market other than Jacksonville, the Scranton market, anywhere in the state of New York outside the Buffalo market, and all of New England. Consult this link to see a map and make sure I haven't forgotten anybody.
The entire nation will see Giants at Cowboys tonight on NBC, Eagles at Redskins tomorrow on ESPN, and Texans at Chargers tomorrow on ESPN.
