Tonight the Jets make their annual road appearance in Foxborough and take on the rival New England Patriots. First place in the AFC East at this early juncture of the 2013 NFL season is on the line.
More than that, the Patriots are really banged up, particularly at the skill positions. Tom Brady's weapons in this game are largely not proven NFL players. This feels like the kind of game the Jets need to win to have a surprising season. This is an opportunity to bank a win both in the division and in the conference. With the October that looms ahead, a 2-0 start followed by a pair of very winnable games would be a great thing.
