Defensive tackle Damon Harrison says he has made the Jets' roster.

Harrison looked very good in preseason. He looked so good that Antonio Garay was deemed expendable. That really is the best case scenario. You want cheap young players to develop and eliminate a reliance on old veterans.
How good will Harrison become? We cannot really say, but one area where it is difficult to question this coaching staff is developing talent along the defensive line. Even if Harrison never amounts to more than a quality rotational player, that is an enormous return on an investment in an undrafted free agent from William Penn University and a nice parting gift from Mike Tannenbaum and the old scouting staff.
