Patriots Release Tim Tebow

Could this be the last of Tebow in the NFL?

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Schefter reported this morning that the New England Patriots have decided to part ways with Tim Tebow as part of their final roster cuts. I can't say this is surprising, as New England has Tom Brady and a pretty good young back-up in Ryan Mallett if Brady ever does get hurt.

Tebow can't throw, he's not all that fast, and it's become clear that he can't convert to the position of tight end. This may be the last we ever see of Tim Tebow in the NFL, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

There's no reason to have any ill-will towards Tim Tebow, as he's never really done anything bad to the Jets--besides bringing a package of unwanted, crazy media attention with him, none of which is his fault--but the NFL is reserved for the best of the best, and right now Tim Tebow just is not of that caliber.
